About “Keys to Recovery”
"Keys to Recovery" is a leading Alcoholism and Drug Treatment Center in the Midwest, providing innovative and effective Alcoholism and Drug Treatment since 1991.
Our staff consists of experienced professionals who provide confidential treatment in a relaxed and safe environment.
All levels of care are based on a belief in the individual's capacity to change and right to be treated with respect and dignity. We recognize that chemical dependency is a disease that has no respect for age, sex, race or other biological, psychological or social factors. We are very aware that the untreated person can suffer from psychological, physical, social and spiritual deterioration. It will severely damage a family, a career or an adolescent’s prospects for the future.
Our professionally trained staff provides each patient with an evaluation of their condition, along with a recommendation for a treatment plan and for the level of care that is most appropriate to meet their needs.
For more information, or to make a referral, please call 847-298-9355 (24 hours).
Our Belief
Our belief is that everyone can enjoy a Chemical Dependency and Alcohol free lifestyle, which will be more rewarding than could ever have been envisioned. Life is more rewarding when you face your difficulties free of mood altering substances. Our staff understands how alone and isolated you might feel right now and will work with you to bridge the gap between addiction and recovery.
For you, this can mean:
- Enjoyment of a substance-free lifestyle
- Rewarding family relationships
- Productive employment
- Reduction in stress
- Decreased medical and psychological problems
Our Approach
Our approach is holistic, designed to recognize and treat each individual’s physical, mental, social, and spiritual needs. We understand and treat each individual as a unique human being requiring individualized treatment goals and varying levels of care.
Assessment
Assessment is the initial and most critical part of any drug treatment or addiction treatment process because each individual is unique. Intervention and appropriate treatment are based upon this initial assessment.
The assessment process may include the physician, nursing staff, psychologist, social worker or other team members. A specific treatment recommendation will then be made.
Inpatient Services
- Inpatient Stabilization - This service is a three day medically supervised hospital stay for the stabilization of the patient, who is withdrawing from drugs, alcohol and health related issues.
- Medical Detoxification - All detoxifications are backed by, medical and diagnostic services to ensure the best outcome. Detoxification will generally take place on an inpatient basis but under certain circumstances it can be done on an outpatient basis.
- Inpatient Rehabilitation - Inpatient Rehabilitation is necessary and indicated in some individual cases. Rehabilitation begins as soon as the patient is medically stable. Patients participate in all aspects of the program, while at the same time, their continued medical needs are being addressed.
- Residential Services - Residential Services is a specially designed 21 to 28 day program. It is designed to create an intensive learning experience of a new lifestyle that substitutes healthy relationships for chemicals. The goal is to provide patients with the tools to leave the program and return to everyday life and maintain their sobriety.
If these services do not meet your inpatient needs, please ask us about our extended day programs. Call 847-298-9355 for more information.
- Discharge Planning - Discharge planning will be done prior to leaving the hospital, you will be referred to appropriate community based aftercare programs; including halfway houses and recovery homes if necessary. New Vision Medical Detoxification and Alumni Aftercare Service
Saint Mary of Nazareth's New Vision Program, a medical detoxification and alumni aftercare service, is a hospital based chemical dependency service for adults with drug or alcohol related problems. The service treats adults above the age of 18 who are chemically dependent or are suffering incapacitation due to the effects of drugs alcohol, or acute withdrawal symptoms.
Inpatient Detoxification
The service begins with a medically supervised hospital stay for the inpatient treatment phase that typically lasts three days. Upon admission, initial assessments of the patient's fundamental needs are accomplished. These assessments include a medical history, physical, a complete laboratory workup, and a nursing assessment.
Alumni Education Program
After completing the detoxification phase, an individualized discharge plan is developed, discussed with the patient, and implemented. The two-phased service provides education for all patients in treatment. A major goal of the service is to provide an individualized approach that blends education regarding chemical dependency with practical methodologies to prevent relapse.
Admissions are available 24 hours 7 days per week. Medicaid, Medicare, Insurance and most managed care plans accepted. For more information call 312-770-2687
